Instant noodles recalled over potential peanut contamination

WASHINGTON — Fly By Jing has voluntarily recalled select lots of its Creamy Sesame Noodles after discovering the products may have been exposed to peanuts during manufacturing.

The Los Angeles-based brand is best known for its chili crisp and other condiments. 

Peanuts are not an ingredient in the noodles. The company said a third-party manufacturer produced the product on shared equipment that also processes peanuts, potentially introducing the allergen into affected packages. For people with peanut allergies, consuming the product could trigger a serious or life-threatening reaction.

The recall affects both single and 4-pack packages with three Best By dates — Oct. 15, 2026; Dec. 6, 2026; and March 23, 2027 — which can be found on the back or bottom of the packaging. 

The products were sold nationwide between Feb. 1 and May 8, 2026, through retail outlets including Whole Foods and Thrive Market, as well as directly through the company’s website. Fly By Jing said it has stopped distribution of the affected lots, notified retail partners, and placed remaining inventory on hold.

The company said it has also implemented additional allergen-control procedures with the manufacturer to prevent future incidents. No other Fly By Jing noodle flavors or sauce products are affected.

Consumers with peanut allergies should stop using the recalled products immediately. Anyone who purchased the affected noodles can return them to the point of purchase for a full refund.
