Aeropostale employee at North East Mall arrested for hidden camera in dressing room, police say

Hurst police have arrested a 23-year-old Aeropostale employee, Caleb Leonard, after finding a hidden camera in a dressing room.

HURST, Texas — Police in Hurst say a store employee has been arrested after a hidden camera was discovered inside a dressing room at North East Mall.

Hust PD says they were called to the Aeropostale store on April 24 after a 911 call reporting a possible hidden camera. When officers arrived, they spoke with two young females who said they found a small, partially concealed camera inside a dressing room.

According to police, the two took the camera with them when they left the store and then contacted authorities.

Detectives later processed the device and found the camera contained invasive visual recordings. While reviewing those images, detectives were able to identify a suspect.

On May 14, police issued an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Caleb Leonard. He was taken into custody at his home without incident. Officers also carried out a search warrant and say they collected additional evidence.

Police say Leonard was an employee at Aeropostale and had been on administrative leave since the initial report.

He is now charged with invasive visual recording and tampering with physical evidence.

Hurst police are asking anyone who may have additional information or who believes they may have been recorded to contact the department.
