A 13-year-old girl was rescued safely from Cedar Bayou by Baytown firefighters. Thankfully, she was OK.
BAYTOWN, Texas — A 13-year-old girl is safe after being rescued from Cedar Bayou in Baytown on Wednesday.
Firefighters said the girl was found clinging to a tree in the Lynwood area just after 4 p.m.
Crews used life vests, throw ropes and rescue boats to reach her and bring her back to her family.
Baytown firefighters reminded families to always watch children around water and use life vests.
