A district spokesperson for Aledo ISD confirmed Brayden Martin, the student, died in an accident on Wednesday, May 20.
ALEDO, Texas — An Aledo ISD middle school student died in an accident Wednesday night, according to a statement from the district.
The student was identified as Brayden Martin. Officials have not released details about the accident.
“As a community, we share our most sincere condolences with Brayden’s family, his friends and classmates, and the staff who have served Brayden in Aledo ISD,” a district spokesperson said. “We have asked our entire community to pray for Brayden’s family, friends and teachers.
Thursday was the last day of school for Aledo ISD. The spokesperson said the district provided extra support at Aledo Middle School for students and staff.
Wildcatters Baseball, the local youth baseball league, honored Martin in a social media post.
“Brayden was more than a teammate — he was family,” the post read. “His love for the game, his smile, and the impact he made on everyone around him will never be forgotten.”
