EagleNXT, a company that makes drones and aerial imaging technology, will open its new global headquarters in Allen this month.

The company, which operates legally as AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc. (NYSE American: UAVS), said a grand opening ceremony for the 33,000-square-foot space is scheduled for May 27. The site at 505 Century Pkwy. will serve as EagleNXT’s main operations hub, bringing together engineering, customer support and marketing teams while supporting sensor manufacturing and drone production.

The firm is relocating to the Collin County suburb from Wichita, Kansas. The move was announced in January.

CEO Bill Irby previously said the move will help the company tap into robust talent and expand its work on drones, sensors and software. The North Texas operation is expected to employ at least 25 people over the next two years and will complement the firm’s existing production facility in Switzerland.
