An Idaho man has won lottery prizes 18 times since 1997. But he said his lotto prowess is not the real reason he’s lucky.
BOISE, Idaho — An Idaho man has won the lottery 18 times over the past 29 years, according to the Idaho Lottery.
Idaho Lottery said Robert Bevan won his first lottery in 1997 as one of the seven winners of a 1997 Chevy Blazer during a “Blazer Bucks” promotion. Since then, Bevan has won several prizes, ranging from $1,000 to $200,000.
Bevan said he started playing the lottery with his wife. He said they’d pick up a lotto ticket as a fun tradition during an outing, whether at the grocery store or the gas station. They are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this year.
“My real luck is 40 years with the same amazing woman,” Bevan said to the Idaho Lottery.
