According to district officials, Wilder Elementary School and Marek Elementary are both closed Wednesday.
ALVIN, Texas — Classes are canceled at two different Alvin ISD schools Wednesday due to storm damage.
We first told you on KHOU 11 Morning News that Wilder Elementary School was damaged by the storm system that moved through overnight. The district later confirmed that Marek Elementary would also be closed.
Alvin ISD posted that they expect both schools to reopen on Thursday.
At this point, we don’t know how how extensive the damage is at the schools. As soon as we learn more, we’ll post it here.
