Among the key races on the ballot for the primary runoff — the Republican race for U.S. Senate between incumbent John Cornyn and longtime Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the Republican and Democratic races for Texas Attorney General to take the office Paxton has held, U.S. House District 18 on the Democratic side, and both GOP and Democratic race for Harris County judge.
