HOUSTON — The Lone Star College Police Department ordered an emergency evacuation Thursday at the LSC-Houston North Fallbrook campus, directing everyone in the building to leave immediately and await further instructions. The police had received reports of a gas smell.
The alert, posted to the department’s official Facebook page, stated the evacuation was not a drill. No additional details about the nature of the emergency were provided in the initial alert.
“ATTENTION LSC-HN Fallbrook. Calmly evacuate and move away from your building. Await further instructions. THIS IS NOT A DRILL,” the social media message read.
“We received a report of a gas smell at LSC-Fallbrook, which is why the building is being evacuated. Please evacuate and follow all instructions,” the page shared in a subsequent comment.
Anyone at the LSC-HN Fallbrook building was instructed to calmly evacuate and move away from the structure.
Further updates are expected from the Lone Star College Police Department as the situation develops.
The college is off Walters Road, north of Spears.
