Police are still searching for a suspect after officers found a female had been shot, officials say.
DENTON, Texas — A suspect is still at large after a shooting in Denton late Tuesday evening, police said.
Police responded just before 11 p.m. Tuesday to the 2400 block of North Bell Avenue, the Denton Police Department said in a press release. Officers on the scene found a female had been shot, officials say.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Officers remained in the area for several hours searching for the suspect, but were unable to find them.
Officials say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
The investigation into what led up to the shooting remains ongoing.
