Woman hit, killed in hit-and-run crash near Bush Airport, police say

An investigation is underway after police say a woman was hit by two cars near Bush Airport. She died at the scene.

HOUSTON — Police are searching for a driver after they say a woman was fatally hit by two cars near George Bush Intercontinental Airport early Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Will Clayton Parkway near an airport parking lot.

Witnesses told police the woman was initially hit by a white vehicle that drove off from the scene. 

Police said a Jeep then unknowingly drove over the woman, came back to the scene, and waited for police to arrive. HPD said the driver of this vehicle showed no signs of intoxication.

The victim has not yet been identified. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

There’s no word on the driver of the first car. An investigation is ongoing.
