Unborn child killed in hit-and-run crash, Dallas police said

Dallas police said Dedrick Henry, 37, was involved in a deadly crash and then took off.

DALLAS — Dallas police have arrested a man they say was involved in a deadly crash Thursday night and then took off.

Officers were called to a major accident in the 7400 block of Abrams Road at 10:45 p.m. Thursday. 

Police said they had go find one of the drivers involved who took off prior to them arriving to the scene. They said 37-year-old Dedrick Henry was later found and arrested. He’s charged with several felonies, including Intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and collision involving death.

Investigators said an unborn child was killed in the crash and several others were injured.

According to jail records, bond has not yet been set for Henry.
