Six Flags Over Texas closes as it deals with power outage

The park said it experienced a technical issue Saturday afternoon, causing an interruption in power.

ARLINGTON, Texas — On the same day its Hurricane Harbor officially opened for the summer, Six Flags Over Texas saw a park-wide power outage, forcing an early closure.

According to a Six Flags spokesperson, the park experienced an internal technical issue Saturday afternoon, causing an interruption in power.

“At this time, the park is closed while Oncor Electric Delivery works to restore power,” the spokesperson said to WFAA. “We will provide operational updates as soon as possible.”

WFAA has reached out to Oncor for comment.
