Sheman Police say the incident happened on Thursday, May 14, in the 400 block of East Orange Street.
SHERMAN, Texas — A man is in custody after trying to buy a vape for a teen in return for sex, according to Sherman Police.
Police say on Thursday, May 14, officers were called to the 400 block of East Orange Street after getting reports of a suspicious person.
Officials say the caller, a teenager, told police a man drove up beside her and offered to buy her a vape in exchange for sex. Police say the teen gave officers a description of the suspect and his car.
Police say officers were able to locate and arrest 65-year-old Stephen Lyons. Officials say Lyons admitted to the allegations and found a vape still sealed in its packaging inside Lyons’ car.
Lyons was booked in the Grayson County jail on a Solicitation of Prostitution of a Person Under 18 Years of Age charge and a bond of $30,000.
