Another woman received minor injuries from the incident, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.
FORT WORTH, Texas — A North Texas man is dead after being electrocuted Friday, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s office.
Officials say deputies were sent to the 9100 block of Benview Court near Benbrook Lake after getting a call of a possible electrocution. When they made it to the scene, deputies found that a man and a woman had touched a power source in the backyard of their home.
Officials say both were taken to a hospital, where the man died. Police say the woman only received minor injuries and is still recovering in the hospital.
Oncor also went to the scene and shut off the power to the property as deputies investigated how the two came into contact with the power source.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will release the name of the man who died, along with his cause of death.
