A man faces charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping after a woman was attacked in a Texas Medical Center parking garage earlier this week.
HOUSTON — A man has been arrested in the robbery and stabbing of a medical researcher in the Texas Medical Center earlier this week, according to court documents.
Court documents show that 46-year-old Perry Green faces charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping in connection with the attack on Monday, May 11. He was arrested Wednesday evening and is due in court Thursday morning for a probable cause hearing.
The attack happened at a parking garage at a parking garage at the intersection of Fannin Street and Dryden Road — the Texas Medical Center Garage 1. A KHOU 11 News source said the victim works at Houston Methodist’s Research Institute.

Green is accused of stabbing and robbing the woman shortly after 7 a.m. while she was sitting in her car. Hospital officials said several employees witnessed the attack and rendered first aid before first responders got to the scene.
Part of the Houston Methodist campus was temporarily locked down due to the incident.
The victim was taken to a nearby emergency room for treatment and was later released. A statement from Houston Methodist earlier this week revealed that she “is doing well, remains in good spirits, and appreciates the continued thoughts and prayers she has received.”
The arrest comes after investigators on Tuesday released a surveillance image of the suspect.
According to Houston METRO, the suspect used public transportation, and they were able to track him through video. METRO said it provided surveillance footage to law enforcement officials to help with the investigation, but didn’t release that video publicly.
