SUGAR LAND, Texas — A horse had to be euthanized after a wreck on the Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land Sunday morning.
The wreck happened at around 10:45 a.m. in the outbound lanes of the freeway at Highway 6, involving a pickup truck and a livestock trailer carrying horses, according to the Sugar Land Fire Department. Multiple lanes were shut down for hours, finally opening at a little after 1:15 p.m.
At this point, it’s not clear how the wreck happened. In the comments of a post on Facebook, the Sugar Land Fire Department said one of the horses that was being transported had to be euthanized.
