HCSO SWAT units responded to a possible barricaded suspect situation near Telge and Tuckerton in northwest Harris County.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies and SWAT personnel are responding to a possible barricaded suspect situation in northwest Harris County.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminals Apprehension Team, known as VCAT, and SWAT units were at a home on Coleburn near Telge Road and Tuckerton Road.
According to Gonzalez, deputies were trying to serve a felony warrant when the wanted man possibly barricaded himself inside the home.
“To our community members near Telge and Tuckerton,” Gonzalez wrote in a social media post, “The @HCSOTexas Violent Criminals Apprehension Team (VCAT) and SWAT are at a residence located in the 16200 block of Coleburn.”
Authorities have not released additional details about the suspect or the felony warrant.
Residents in the area may notice a heavy law enforcement presence as the situation continues to unfold.
