Upgrades to the area around the mall’s ice rink include new lighting, flooring and seating areas.
DALLAS — Galleria Dallas is starting a new project this month that is expected to run through the rest of the year: refreshing its center court area around the mall’s ice rink.
Upgrades to the area, located in the middle of Galleria Dallas, include new lighting, flooring, and seating areas designed for watching the rink or just sitting and enjoying a drink with friends.
The biggest change, the mall says, will be replacing the teal glass surrounding the ice rink with a new off-white finish, which is intended to modernize and brighten the area.
There will also be new art on the center court escalators, new digital boards on the second level, and interactive kiosks throughout the mall to help shoppers find stores and get directions.
“Ongoing investment in Galleria Dallas, combined with strong growth in foot traffic, reinforces that modern shopping centers can still prosper in the digital era,” Galleria Dallas General Manager Angie Freed said. “We’re excited to see these changes come to fruition and believe they will make Galleria Dallas even more of a destination for returning shoppers and new visitors.”
This is the latest in a number of renovations recently undertaken at Galleria Dallas. Past projects include new store openings, new restrooms and entry signs.
