Joni Lamb started the network with her late husband in 1993.
TEXAS, USA — Joni Lamb, the president and founder of the Daystar Television Network died on May 7, a statement from the network confirmed.
Lamb founded the network alongside her late husband Marcus in 1993.
“We know that she is in the presence of Jesus, reunited with Marcus, and receiving her reward for a beautiful life lived in surrender to the Lord,” a social media post by the network said. “She has modeled what it means to be fearless, to be bold, and to stand for righteousness even when it’s unpopular. Her love and compassion for people were unparalleled. She will be so greatly missed.”
The statement said Lamb was dealing with “serious health matters” compounded by a previous back injury.
“Despite the dedicated efforts of her medical team and the prayers of so many around the world, her condition worsened in the last few days,” the statement said.
Daystar grew into one of the largest Christian television networks in the world, the statement said. Lamb spent nearly four decades on air and behind the scenes.
