Deco District gem Cool Crest Miniature Golf will hold a Grand Reopening Celebration this Saturday.

This classic San Antonio fun fixture originally opened its doors in 1929. While the spot has one foot firmly planted in the past — it’s beloved by generations of locals — the current owners also have their eyes on the future.

With renovated grounds, updated food offerings from the minds behind downtown culinary landmarks Shilo’s and Casa Rio and beverages from the attraction’s own Metzger Biergarten, there’s a little bit of something for everyone.

For those new to the area, this Deco-era gem is sure to become a family tradition — and Saturday’s event seems like an opportunity for guests old and new to see the changes.

Pay as you go, 1-9 p.m. Saturday, May 16, Cool Crest Miniature Golf & Metzger Biergarten, 1402 Fredericksburg Road, (210) 732-0222, coolcrestgolf.com.
