Caddo Mills Fire and Rescue say they were called to the scene that happened near Caddo Mills High School Wednesday.
CADDO MILLS, Texas — A construction worker is currently in the hospital after falling down a 60-foot hole Wednesday afternoon, according to Caddo Mills Fire and Rescue.
Officials say first responders were sent to a traumatic injury call at Caddo Mills High School. Once emergency crews made it to the scene, officials say they found a person approximately 60 feet down a hole at a construction site on high school property.
Caddo Mills Fire and Rescue say they utilized rope rescue equipment and construction machines to safely get the worker out.
Caddo Mills ISD Superintendent Luke Allison confirmed to WFAA that the worker was injured at a construction site near the CMISD stadium.
“Prayers go out to him and his family,” Allison says. “Thank you to all of our agencies for their quick response.”
The worker was flown to a Dallas-area hospital for further treatment.
