Teen hospitalized after shooting in Southeast Dallas, police say

Dallas police say the incident happened Wednesday night on Godfrey Ave.

DALLAS — A teen has been hospitalized after a shooting in Southeast Dallas Wednesday night, according to Dallas Police. 

Officials say offers were called to the 6300 block of Godfrey Avenue after getting reports of a shooting. 

Investigators determined a juvenile was shot by a known suspect who fled the scene before officers arrived. 

Police say the suspect was later found and arrested. Dallas police say the teen was taken to a local hospital by their family and is in critical condition. 

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and have not released any information on what led up to the shooting.
