HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Deputies are investigating a fatal shooting at an east Harris County home that may be connected to domestic violence, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Deputies responded to a residence on Texarkana Street and Hollywood Street in the Cloverleaf area. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officials said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Gonzalez, preliminary information indicates the shooting may be linked to a domestic violence situation. Authorities detained one person in connection with the incident, though it is unclear what charges, if any, they may face.
Investigators remained at the scene as they work to determine what led up to the shooting. No additional details about the victim or the person detained have been released.
