Zipair adds extra flights from Houston to Tokyo for holidays

Zipair adds Saturday flights to its Houston–Tokyo route for the 2025 holiday season, offering up to four weekly trips.

HOUSTON — Less than a year after launching flights at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), a Japanese budget airline is extending its service for the upcoming holiday travel season.

Zipair, a Japan Airlines subsidiary, will operate three weekly flights between IAH and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport (NRT) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Oct. 26, 2025, through March 26, 2026.

However, the airline will also add Saturday flights from Nov. 15, 2025, through Jan. 3, bringing service to four weekly round-trip flights during the busy holiday and New Year travel period.

The fares from Houston to Narita are estimated to cost $458 for a standard one-way ticket, per Zipair. The airline has also announced additional flights between Vancouver and Bangkok.

When Zipair first announced its Houston flights in October 2024, the new route marked the budget-friendly airline’s further expansion into the American market.
