When is Amazon Prime Day 2025? Dates just revealed with a big change this year

Amazon’s Prime Day is offering four days of savings for the first time.

WASHINGTON — Amazon has officially announced when Prime Day will be this year and for the first time in the event’s 11-year history, it’ll be four days long.

The popular discount event has traditionally been a two-day sale, but for 2025 the retailer says Prime members will have “double the time to shop millions of deals” across more than 35 categories.

Prime Day 2025 will kick off early in the morning on Tuesday, July 8 and run through July 11, the company has announced

The company doesn’t disclose how much revenue it pulls in from its annual discount sale, but previously said 2024’s event was its biggest ever. Adobe Analytics, which tracks online sales, told the Associated Press that consumers spent $14.2 billion during last year’s event, up 11% compared to 2023.

July’s discount event will also mark the start of the back-to-school shopping season. Walmart and Target tend to host their own respective sales events around Prime Day, though nothing has been officially announced as of early Tuesday morning.

What’s new for Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon’s announcement said those drops will feature “some of the most exciting deals of the event” and will only be available for a limited time, while supplies last.

There will also be “deals dropping as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout the event,” Amazon said.
