(NEXSTAR) — Football season is coming at you as fast as your favorite running back, and two Texas favorites, Whataburger and Academy Sports + Outdoors, just released their latest gameday collaboration in time for the games.
The Whataburger and Academy tailgate collection features a variety of new eye-catching clothes and other gameday items.
Here’s a quick look at some of the new ‘fits which are now available in-store at Academy locations, in addition to Academy.com and Whataburger’s Whatastore.

“When you think of Texas, you think of football — so teaming up with Academy for a third campaign just in time for the season made perfect sense,” said Whataburger Group Director of CPG & Retail Marketing Rachael Jones. “This collaboration brings a fresh take on tailgating and gives fans a fun way to work both iconic brands into their fall traditions.”
The two companies previously collaborated in 2021 and 2023.
Both Academy Sports + Outdoors and Whataburger were founded and (and are still headquartered) in Texas. Academy’s HQ is located in Katy, while Whataburger’s home is San Antonio.
