A driver was killed in a crash early Friday on Westheimer Road in west Houston. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
HOUSTON — A driver was killed in a crash early Friday morning along Westheimer Road in west Houston, according to police.
According to the Houston Police Department, a black Nissan Sentra was traveling westbound on Westheimer Road near South Kirkwood when the driver failed to control speed and hit a silver Toyota Camry.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the driver of the Toyota dead.
Police said the driver of the Toyota Camry was a man, but his identity has not yet been confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The 19-year-old driver of the Nissan Sentra was taken to a nearby hospital. No additional details about his condition were released.
The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the crash.
Officials have not released additional details as the investigation continues.
