Weekend Forecast
There will be plenty of heat as we move into the weekend, with temperatures remaining around the average of 99°. This is expected to not only last the entire weekend but also the beginning of the following week as well as a high-pressure system sits just to the west of us. We are expecting mostly sunny skies, so be sure to stay hydrated and take breaks from the sun whenever you can.
Cedar Park Rodeo

Hopefully, you didn’t put away your hat and boots after the Cowboy Carter concert rolled through Texas a few weeks ago, because Cedar Park is hosting its annual rodeo. Taking place at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park on Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9, the rodeo will host a series of events including: bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, girls barrel racing, team roping, and even frisbee dogs! Brisketfest 2025
This is for the foodies who love emo music. It’s Brisketfest 2025 at the Far Out Lounge and Stage at 850 S Congress Ave. Running from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be plenty of brisket to enjoy from three different brisket trucks. Mix in some fun bands like Jimmy Eat Brisket, Ne’er-Do-Well, Dan Radin, and Wrestle with Jimmy. Vendors will be in attendance too, with an after-party from 10 p.m. to midnight with LORE performing. Beatles Full Moon Concert
Get back to your roots and imagine a time when music could Hold Your Hand. Who hasn’t wanted to listen to Beatles music and just be one with the feeling of the music soothing you in the night? The concert, taking place on Saturday, August 9 at 8 p.m., has a 30-minute meet and greet along with a pre-concert talk before it begins. There will be some chairs, but you are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and/or a pillow, water, or a mug to get some free cacao or tea, and bring your Beatles-loving friends. Paddle for Puppies
Water and your dog. What more do you need? This annual fundraiser is to benefit Austin Pets Alive! and give you a chance to kayak, canoe, or paddleboard with your pup through Lady Bird Lake. All the money raised will go to saving the lives of puppies in Parvo ICU programs and will take place on Sunday, August 10.
