HOUSTON — The University of Houston System Board of Regents has selected a new chairman to take over from local billionaire Tilman Fertitta.
Jack B. Moore was named to the role during an Aug. 21 meeting, the Houston Chronicle reports. Moore is a former chairman, CEO and president of Cameron International Corp.
Prior to joining Cameron, Moore worked for Houston-based Baker Hughes Inc. (NYSE: BHI) for 23 years in various positions. He earned a bachelor’s from the University of Houston and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
