UH unveils new $130 million Memorial Hermann Football Operations Center

The facility houses the university’s football program and features new premium spaces for TDECU Stadium.

HOUSTON — University of Houston’s newest athletics facility is officially open.

UH unveiled its $130 million Memorial Hermann Football Operations Center to the media on Aug. 22. The 160,000-square-foot facility on the west side of TDECU Stadium houses the university’s football operations, including the team’s training space, locker room, health and nutrition space, and staff offices.

The facility also adds 14 suites, a 400-seat club section with access to the 11,000-square-foot Touchdown Club, and a 300-seat roof terrace to TDECU Stadium, providing the venue with more premium options to sell.

“This facility is phenomenal,” said Eddie Nuñez, UH’s vice president for intercollegiate athletics. “It helps us be as efficient as we can and effective for our student-athletes as a one-stop shop. It’s going to be an unbelievable experience for our fans to be able to have this now.”

Adding the premium spaces was a key priority for the university when building the new facility, Nuñez said.
