LEWISVILLE, Texas — Commuters from Lewisville should be aware that several lanes of I-35E will be closed at varying times this week for an ongoing improvement project.
According to TXDOT, the lanes just north of the SH 121 interchange will be closed and detoured at FM 1171/Main Street from 10 p.m. Tuesday through 5 a.m. Wednesday. I-35E managed lanes in the area will be closed from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
On Thursday, all northbound lanes of I-35E will be closed and detoured at FM 1171/Main Street from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. Managed lanes in the area will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.
Significant delays should be expected on detour routes and drivers should be alert to slower or stopped traffic, officials say. Alternate routes are advised if possible.
