An altercation turned fatal Sunday night in a Fort Worth neighborhood, leaving two people dead after a shooting on Asheville Lane, police say.
FORT WORTH, Texas — Two people are dead after a shooting broke out during an apparent altercation in a Fort Worth neighborhood Sunday night.
Police were called to the 8400 block of Asheville Lane just before 9 p.m. on June 15. When officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was taken to a nearby hospital, where they later died.
Investigators believe the shooting happened during a dispute, though exactly what led up to the violence hasn’t been shared.
Homicide detectives are now leading the investigation, which remains ongoing.
