Tomball police responded to a Tomball apartment after a disturbing 911 call Monday evening.
TOMBALL, Texas — A Tomball woman is facing a murder charge after she allegedly shot and killed her boyfriend Monday evening at an apartment complex off Village Square, according to the Tomball Police Department.
Officers responded to the apartment complex at around 7:57 p.m. Monday, after a 911 caller identified herself as the girlfriend of the victim and told dispatchers she had shot him. When officers and emergency medical personnel arrived to the complex off Quinn Road and Village Square Drive, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, he died from his injuries.
Detectives determined the victim, a 67-year-old man, had been shot multiple times, according to investigators.
The suspect, identified as Nancy Merrel, 68, was taken into custody and charged with murder. She was transported to the Harris County Jail for booking.
The Tomball Police Department said the investigation is ongoing.
