Three officers fired by Dallas Police Chief for misconduct

Dallas police Chief Daniel Comeaux terminated three employees after misconduct investigations confirmed wrongful actions.

DALLAS — Three employees have been fired from the Dallas Police Department after internal affairs investigations into misconduct. 

Chief Daniel Comeaux terminated the employees after a disciplinary hearing Thursday afternoon. 

Sergeant Matthew Terry was terminated for being untruthful to a supervisor, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and being arrested for DWI with a child passenger, a state jail felony, the department confirmed in a news release. 

Terry had worked for DPD since 2006 and was assigned to the Central Patrol Division.

Research Specialist Patsy Evans was terminated for unlawful food stamp use, greater than $200, a third-degree felony, the release states.

Evans had been with the department since 2012 and was assigned to the Operational Technology Unit.

Supervisor Sheri Brown was also fired for unlawful food stamp use, greater than $200, the release states. Brown had worked for DPD since 2004 and was assigned to the Records Unit.
