Things to do in Dallas-Fort Worth this weekend | June 6-8

DALLAS — It’s the first week of June, and it’s starting to feel like summer in North Texas. 

There’s plenty to do this weekend to reset and help you embrace a sunny disposition. A number of events, such as live music, fan favorite movies under the stars and festivals of all stripes are sure to keep you busy these next few days.

Water Lantern Festival (Fort Worth)

The Fort Worth Water Lantern Festival is a unique way for strangers, families or friends to come together and create lasting memories. By writing a message on a lantern and releasing it into the water, you can both reflect on the past and celebrate the present. The event sells out fast, though, so be sure to buy your tickets soon for a fun evening of food, entertainment and lantern activities. 

Adult Field Day at Celestial Beerworks (Dallas)

Celestial Beerworks will host its seventh annual Adult Field Day in Dallas this weekend. The all-day event features competitions like sack races, balloon tosses, flip cup and more. Minnesota Lynx vs. Dallas Wings (Arlington)

The Dallas Wings are hungry for a win, but getting one this weekend will have to be hard-earned against Napheesa Collier and the undefeated Minnesota Lynx. This Wings home game in Arlington will mark the third time these two teams have met this season, and the Lynx have taken each game to date. With Paige Bueckers expected to return to the lineup, though, maybe that could change? Here’s hoping. Also, with Pride Month among us, fans are encouraged to wear rainbow colors in support.
