Mother’s Day lands on Sunday, May 10 — yes, that soon — and if you haven’t made plans yet, consider this your gentle (read: urgent) nudge.

Good thing San Antonio restaurants are doing their part to help you live up to your rep as a loving and appreciative offspring, offering everything from over-the-top brunches to high tea to Champagne toasts with skyline views.

Mom earned a day off from cooking, planning and reminding you to call. So, book the table, order the good stuff and let someone else handle the cleanup.

The Jerk Shack

The Jerk Shack — recognized with a Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide for two consecutive years — is offering a curated three-course menu May 9 and 10 at $45 per person. The Caribbean-inspired menu includes a choice of fried green tomatoes, a beef patty or fried plantains as a starter, a chef’s special and a rum raisin brownie or banana pudding for dessert. 10234 TX-151, Suite 103, (210) 776-7780, thejerkshacksatx.com

Clementine

Limited tickets remain available for Clementine’s high tea experience on Saturday, May 9. The soiree allows Mom to indulge in handcrafted sandwiches and decadent sweets, all artfully paired with a selection of teas and bubbles. The experience is $75 per person. Tables are available for booking online. 2195 NW Military Highway, (210) 503-5121, clementine-sa.com.

Postino

If Mom enjoys her vino, Postino’s wine club memberships start at only $20 a month. With two locations in San Antonio at the Rim and on Broadway, pickup is easy and each membership tier has additional perks like an extra happy hour, exclusive access to new menus and more. Multiple locations, postino.com.

Moda Fare

Reservations are still available for Mother’s Day brunch at Moda Fare, the Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk’s signature Italian restaurant. Menu selections range from classic brunch staples to chef-curated selections such as a pasta station with a Parmesan wheel, made-to-order omelets, a prime-rib carving station and more. Book reservations on OpenTable. 600 E. Market St., modafare.com, (210) 224-1234.

San Antonio Zoo

The zoo has been stepping up its game recently with holiday meals such as its Mother’s Day brunch, which will be served at the Fiesta Rooftop Terrace. Each mom gets a complimentary drink ticket along with access to a sumptuous brunch spread, fun animal encounters, a mimosa bar and more. Zoo admission for the day is required but not included with the price of brunch. Reservations are available online. 3903 N. St. Mary’s St., (210) 734-7184, sazoo.org

The Mokara Hotel & Spa

Award-winning spa Mokara will offer several fun ways to celebrate mothers this year, including a Bouquet and Bubbles event on Friday, May 8, with interactive wellness stations, refreshing drinks, complimentary chair massages and more. Beyond that, onsite restaurant Ostra will host a limited-time only Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 10, with chef-curated dishes and specialty drinks. 212 W. Crockett St., (210) 396-5800, omnihotels.com.

Tenfold Rooftop

Tenfold Rooftop’s Mom’s Moment package promises a chance to spoil her with a bouquet, chocolate-covered strawberries, a bottle of bubbles and complimentary valet parking. It’s one option available during the rooftop bar’s Champagne & Skyline: A Mother’s Day Celebration event, which runs noon-10 p.m. May 10. Other custom specials will be available for Mom to enjoy the day, including a Mom-osa kit. 431 S. Alamo St., tenfoldrooftop.com, (210) 759-7446.
