AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas State University System’s Board of Regents voted to leave the Sun Belt Conference during a meeting Monday morning.
The board convened around 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Texas State University System Administration Office in Austin and over the phone, according to an agenda published on the Texas Secretary of State’s website.
Texas State will be the biggest school in the Pac-12 Conference following the move.
Monday was the last day for Texas State to change conferences without an increased penalty.
