Six siblings in Texas foster care are looking for a permanent home where they can grow up together — and they’re not giving up hope.
AUSTIN, Texas — There’s no greater bond than a sibling bond, and for a child in Texas foster care, having that familiar face can make all the difference. For this week’s Forever Families segment, we’re featuring a group of six siblings who are hoping to be adopted together.
The siblings met up for a morning of board game fun and laughter at the Emerald Tavern Games and Cafe in North Austin.
The oldest is 14-year-old Astraia, who goes by Ray. As the oldest, she feels it’s important to protect her siblings and make sure they are set up for success.
Ray said her creativity is an outlet for the stress that can come with being in foster care.
“I wish the best for them,” Ray said. “Even if we all get split up, I wish the best and hope they find a family that actually like, involves them in everything and tells them that they’re strong.”
Ezekiel is 12. He loves playing different sports and said he thinks he and his siblings will be able to focus on school and get better grades if their home life improves.
“Your family can love you, tuck you in so you can go to sleep and stuff. Take care of you, provide you food, provide you a shelter. And like, let us watch TV and stuff,” Ezekiel said.
Elijah is 11, Jezreel is 10, Denaza is 8 and Dianaca is 6.
The group brings laughter with them wherever they go, and they are eager to find a supportive home where they can grow up together.

KVUE launched the Forever Families segment with Partnerships for Children (PFC) in June 2020 to highlight children in the Heart Gallery of Central Texas who need secure and permanent families. Every day, there are nearly 1,000 children waiting to get adopted in Central Texas, according to PFC.
Editor’s note: The children who are in the Heart Gallery program and featured in KVUE’s Forever Families segments are children who have had every effort made on their behalf to connect them with family or others in their community to provide options for permanent, adoptive homes. Through no fault of their own, that hasn’t happened yet, and so in partnership with the Department of Family and Protective Services, we collaborate to bring awareness to KVUE viewers about these children in the hopes of finding them permanency before they age out.
