Taylor Sheridan is once again taking over the streets of downtown Fort Worth, closing several roads to traffic Thursday and Friday.
FORT WORTH, Texas — It seems that Taylor Sheridan’s newest show, ‘Frisco King,’ is filming everywhere except for its namesake — Frisco.
Today, May 21, and tomorrow, May 22, production crews will be in downtown Fort Worth, closing several streets to film the forthcoming ‘Tulsa King’ spinoff.
If you need a reminder, the premise of ‘Frisco King’ is a “‘fish out of water’ comedy where Jackson’s character gives up his NOLA roots “to start fresh in a “modern day Mayberry,” WFAA previously reported.
Filming will take place from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 and 7 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Friday, May 22, through Saturday, May 23.
Production has requested the closure of 4th Street between Commerce Street and Houston Street and Main Street, starting from 505 Main Street to 4th Street, according to Downtown Fort Worth Inc.
Downtown has also set aside street parking for production vehicles, including:
On Wednesday, May 6 through Wednesday, May 27:
On Monday, May 18, through Tuesday, May 26:
- South side of the 100 block of 4th street
- North and south sides of 200 block of West 4th Street
- West side of the 500 block of Commerce Street
- North side of the 500 block of 5th Street
- East side of the 500 block of Main Street
“You may see an increase in pedestrian and vehicle traffic during filming times,” Downtown Fort Worth Inc. said. “In order to maintain a safe environment for everyone involved, the film set will be closed to the public. Please be advised that the filming schedule is tentative and dates/times do change.”
The ‘Frisco King’ production team has previously filmed in Southlake and Fort Worth.
This marks another North Texas-set and/or filmed Sheridan show, including “Yellowstone” and prequel “1883, “Landman,” “The Madison,” “Lioness” and the in-production “Rio Palo,” another “Yellowstone” spinoff.
