According to multiple North Texas police departments, the suspect led police on a chase from Irving into Lewisville.
LEWISVILLE, Texas — A suspected car thief led North Texas police on a chase from Irving to Lewisville on Sunday.
According to the Irving Police Department, officers spotted a car that was reported stolen from Dallas around 10:17 a.m. When officers went to pull the car over, the driver fled, leading police on a chase, the department said.
The chase led officers all the way north into Lewisville. Lewisville PD said the chase ended in the 700 block of East Valley Ridge Boulevard, leaving the intersection at North Kealy Avenue completely blocked off.
Police did not disclose how the chase ended, but said after the suspect’s vehicle came to a stop, officers were able to safely put the suspect in custody.
