Multiple agencies were serving a narcotics warrant on Doris Stinson Road in Alvin when a suspect was shot, Pct. 1 said.
ALVIN, Texas — A shooting took place Thursday during a narcotics investigation at a residence on Doris Stinson Road in the Alvin area of Brazoria County, according to Constable Precinct 1.
Precinct 1 deputies, supported by multiple law enforcement agencies, were executing the search warrant. They said a suspect was shot and transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
No officers were injured in the incident, officials confirmed.
The Texas Rangers have taken over the investigation to conduct what authorities described as “a thorough and transparent review” of the incident.
Constable Mike Fulton of Brazoria County Constable Precinct 1 did not share specific details about what led to the shots being fired.
