Sheriff: Montgomery County deputies respond to active shooter report in Kings Colony neighborhood | People told to avoid the area

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — Montgomery County deputies and other law enforcement agencies are responding to an active shooter situation in the Kings Colony neighborhood in east Montgomery County, according to officials.

The incident was reported in the Nottingham Road area of Kings Colony, where multiple individuals have been shot, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities have not released details about the victims’ conditions or said how many people were injured.

Officials are asking people who are outside the area to avoid entering the neighborhood as deputies work to bring the situation under control.

Those already inside the Kings Colony neighborhood are being urged to follow all commands from law enforcement officers on scene.
