HOUSTON — A store along the Southwest Freeway was engulfed in flames early Saturday morning.
The Houston Fire Department first responded to reports of the fire at Rug Mart, located along the Southwest Freeway near Fountain View Drive, around midnight.
HFD said firefighters took a defensive attack, meaning the fire was fought from outside the building. The fire was put out around 5 a.m. No injuries were reported.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
