Robotic thrill ride set to launch on MSC Seascape from Galveston

MSC Cruises will debut the robotic thrill ride ROBOTRON in Texas this November.

GALVESTON, Texas — A robotic thrill ride suspended 175 feet above the sea is about to make waves in Texas.

MSC Cruises announced Monday that ROBOTRON, the first-ever robotic arm ride at sea, will debut in the Lone Star State this November when MSC Seascape begins sailing from Galveston.

Billed as a one-of-a-kind adventure, ROBOTRON is the centerpiece attraction aboard MSC Seascape, offering a fully customizable, rollercoaster-like experience. Riders can choose their thrill level and sync the motion of the ride to their favorite music, complete with lighting and visual effects.

“ROBOTRON is a thrill ride like no other, and we know it’ll make waves in Texas,” Lynn Torrent, president of MSC Cruises North America, said. “Texans love big adventures, and MSC Seascape delivers—with high-tech entertainment, immersive attractions and unforgettable Caribbean cruises.”

The ride features a three-seat gondola attached to a high-tech robotic arm that flips, spins, and soars over the ocean’s edge, offering breathtaking views of the horizon.
