The National Weather Service shared pictures of the intersection of Bell Street and Highway 277, with the highway appearing completely underwater.
“We’ve received multiple reports of flooded roads and homes across Tom Green County,” the National Weather Service wrote on social media. “These conditions are life-threatening! DO NOT go out onto the roads.”

According to the West Texas Mesonet weather network, portions of San Angelo near the Grape Creek area have seen more than 12 inches of rain since midnight. As of 7:30 a.m. Friday, more than 14 inches of rain have also fallen in the last 24 hours.
