AUSTIN (KXAN)– Days after serious weather hit the Austin metro location, several homeowners still find themselves without power.
Since Saturday evening, Austin Energy’s outage map shows over a thousand Austin Power clients without power. Chris Phillips is one of residents without power living in Northwest Austin.
“We’re confident. We keep obtaining records that Austin Power is making a great deal of progress,” Phillips stated.
One of Phillips’ interest in the power interruptions was staying great, as the Austin city has seen temperatures in the 80 s and 90 s because the storm. Phillips claimed he was mowing his grass’s yard as a result of the warmth.
“I just figured, if I’m going to be sweaty inside, I might too be productive and sweaty outdoors,” Phillips said.
Matt Schocket is another resident in northwest Austin, and he wanted there was much more interaction from the city on how much time the failures would certainly last.
