Q&A: Bills tracking impact of Texas’ truancy courts on kids not likely to pass



AUSTIN (KXAN) — A bill that would require the state to track what happens to students served and summoned to court for missing too much school is not likely to pass this legislative session. This week on Inside the InvestigationSenior Investigative Producer David Barer explains the challenges to understanding the efficacy of Texas’s truancy courts when the state is not tracking the students who experience it.
