Houston police investigate a fatal shooting of a man found on Westheimer Road.
HOUSTON — Homicide investigators with the Houston Police Department are responding to a deadly shooting reported Friday morning in west Houston.
According to HPD, a man was found unresponsive around 8:20 a.m. at a cemetery on Westheimer Road near Dairy Ashford. Officers say the man had suffered a gunshot wound.
Aerial views from Air 11 show that the victim was found near the roadway within the cemetery.
Further details about the victim or what may have led to the shooting have not yet been released.
Police say homicide detectives are currently at the scene gathering evidence and working to determine what happened.
