Authorities are still investigating “Storage Wars” star Darrell Sheets death in Arizona weeks after he was found dead.
Lake Havasu City police are now saying they’re investigating “allegations of cyberbullying associated with this case.”
In an April press release, the department said they found a man with “what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head” and pronounced him dead at the scene. He was identified as Sheets by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Sheets’ phone has been submitted to police for forensic analysis, officials told KPNX.
Sheets was on “Storage Wars” for 2010 to 2023 and retired to run his own antique shop in Arizona after dealing with health issues, PEOPLE reported. Variety reported he suffered from a heart attack in 2019. TMZ reported he was hospitalized and needed surgery after the heart attack.
Sheets was in 163 episodes of “Storage Wars” and made appearances on episodes of “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” and Rachael Ray’s daytime talk show, according to his IMDb page.
Sheets was known as “The Gambler” on the long-running competition reality show, which follows professional buyers bidding on unpaid or abandoned storage units and trying to come away with the highest profit after appraising and selling the items inside. Sheets appeared in Seasons 1 through 15, often accompanied by his son, Brandon Sheets.
